We arrived early and could stay in a large room on the ground floor. Location is quiet country side and yet close enough to the city.
Limited eating facilities, apart from breakfast

Very familiar atmosphere, very quiet, unspectacular but fascinating surroundings. Great breakfast buffet, close to the city of Mantova (if you have a car) that offers many good restaurants, shops and beautiful sights. Very friendly and helpful staff.
We liked being in the middle of nowhere - but that might not be suitable vor everyone. Also one small detail, the lighting in our room was not very good for reading at night.

Such a warm welcome from the friendliest owners. Really comfortable room and bed. Having stayed in the middle of cities it was refreshing to be just outside and open the shutters to a field of maize and Italian farmhouses. 5 minutes from the city of Mantua which we loved - romantic and calm. The first view as you cross the bridge is breathtaking, medieval and marvellous. Palazzo Te with fantastic frescos and also there on market day - great shopping. Sadly affected by the earthquake - go and support this lovely hotel!

We were pleased with the room and the staff. The owner of the Villa was very nice and helpful with information about the area and restaurants. The room was extremely nice, clean, and very spacious. The breakfast was excellent with freshly baked and prepared foods. The TV had excellent coverage via satellite and all languages.
The air conditioner did not seem to cool the room adequately. It needed to allow lowering the temperature more to accommodate the large room.

This hotel is outside of Mantova in a pastoral setting. When you first come up to it you don't even know it's a hotel. It has its own gate. However, once you go inside you will be really impressed. The room we had on the second floor had 20 foot ceilings and was spotless, very quiet and a great bed. The bathroom was great too. The lady who greeted us at the desk told us that she also made all the breakfast pastry too. They were delicious! She also handed us a big piece of salami as a going away present. This is a great place to stay!

The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and quiet. The breakfast was amazing!! With a great variety of fruits, and home-made pies, pastries and foccacias. The rooms were very clean. The owners (Ana and Roberto) were always very thoughtful and helpful.
The hotel is about 2km from the city, so if you are traveling without a car it can be a bit difficult to get around. However, the hotel owners would always organize themselves in order to take us to the city center and then pick us up there and take back to the hotel. They even went an extra mile, when they picked us up at the city of Desenzando del Garda, due to a train strike that made it impossible for us to arrive in Mantova by train.
